The recycled palette division of CHEP, a Brambles company, was being spun off as an independent company again. Realm was tasked with renaming and branding this new company. Across the country, the company is made up of a gritty, down-to-earth people, and the customers are not that different. We knew that we didn’t want a corporate, contrived or consultant-sounding name. We wanted something genuine. Ultimately, we invited the executive team to our office for a naming workshop. We explored different brand personalities and approaches to naming the new company.
Together, our teams arrived at 48forty Solutions. The most common pallet dimension in the market is 48”x40,” making the name immediately recognizable to both employees and clients.
After the name was complete we worked on new logo, brand guidelines and custom photography. I directed a photoshoot at one of the plants in Southeast Atlanta and worked with the CMO on creating their brand guidelines.
